MAFIA will be assisting in the production of the film "EASTERN COLLEGE" directed by MAFIA alumni James Francis Flynn (co-writer of FINGERMAN). The filmmakers are looking for several MAFIA memebers to assist as Production Assistants/Interns on the film, which will be shot here, in Oxford, this July. Over 1000 guests including over 100 filmmakers and celebrity guests from around the globe attended the first-annual Oxford International Film Festival last weekend. The festival received nothing but positive remarks from all who attended. With news of the event fluttering all the way to Los Angeles (The Hollywood Reporter) to Canada (The Hollywood North Report) even out as far as Iceland and the UK, the event was a resounding success. If you missed it this year, you certainly won't want to miss it next year as 2008 festival planning is already underway with plans to almost double the size of the event! THE FRAT, to be directed by Joe Baur in the fall, has just been added to the MAFIA production slate. Auditions for the film have been announced and will be held this Wednesday (4/25) in the King Library study rooms --first floor.

The world premiere's of the MAFIA films: DOORWAYS, FREEDOMLAND, & HOPES & DREAMS took place tonight before a packed crowd of almost 200 during the opening night of the Oxford International Film Festival. We continue to receive positive comments from guests & filmmakers about all of the films!

WRATH OF GODS, a feature length doc. featuring "300" and "Phantom of the Opera" star Gerard Butler will have its U.S. Premiere at the Oxford International Film Festival! The film also features Stellan Skarsgard (Pirates of the Caribbean, Good Will Hunting). The film's director will be present at the Premiere and all of the screenings. CLICK HERE for details.
