OIFF's 24 Hour Film Competition

How it Works:
What is a 24 Hour Film Competition?
A 24 hour film competition is a high-energy event where teams of filmmakers race to produce a completed short-film (meeting specific requirements for the competition) in a specific 24 hour period. Upon completion of the 24 hours the films are screened immediately, and judges pick the winners.

How does it work in relation to the festival?
OIFF's 24 Hr. F.C. will take place during the festival weekend, with packets given out in-person to all teams on Friday 6th, at 1pm EST. Films will screen in competition AT THE FESTIVAL 24 hours later, on Saturday 7th, at 1pm sharp. Award-winners will be announced at the festival's closing-night Awards Ceremony on the 8th.

Are there awards affiliated with the competition?
Yes! There is a $500 Cash-Prize & award associated with the winning film, as well as other awards for first and second runners-up.
